Halle Payne is recording a new record, filled with her (soon-to-be) breakout hits. It’s acoustically driven, left-of-center pop for fans of Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, and Fleetwood Mac, among others. She recorded it this April in Nashville, TN, with the help of 1/2 of a bitcoin she’s been holding onto since her first job out of Stanford. Always more ambitious than she intends to be, the new album will be 20 tracks long (counting bonus tracks).
